So, I have contemplated starting a blog for a while now and I guess today seemed like a good day to do it.  I am sitting on my deck enjoying this gorgeous day, doing some work and thinking about what I want to do when I grow up 🙂  Those of you who know me, know that I am passionate about health and fitness.  I am a personal trainer part-time and love sharing with people ways to incorporate fitness programs into their busy lives. 

Almost more than exercise, I love talking about food.  Good for you food.  Healthy food.  New and exciting recipes.  As well as what not to eat. 

Over the past few years, I have educated myself on good food choices and the problems with our food supply in this country.  I am currently studying to get my AFPA Nutritional Consultant Certification, in hopes to find some career path that matches up with what I love to do.  As I am sitting here today considering future options, my phone rang and a good friend on the other end says, “I have a major problem!”  I thought to myself, what in the world could be wrong?!?  Then she says, “How do I get rid of this muffin top?”  Laughing and relieved that nothing was wrong, we started talking about what she was eating.  This very dear friend of mine is a committed exerciser, so I am fairly sure the problem is not that she is a couch potato! We continued to discuss her current eating habits and ideas for some new snacks and meals. 

After a great conversation, I think…that was not just coincidence.  It sounds so cliché, but things in life happen for a reason….maybe that phone call was a glimpse into my future career 🙂
